Fresco Spalmabile Flan with Radicchio
150 g Fresco Spalmabile
40 g grated parmesan
4 tablespoons cream
1 egg
Salt, pepper
400 g radicchio
Nonno Nanni Fresco Spalmabile is a fresh, soft and spreadable cheese, with a lively but delicate flavour.
Method
If you too are looking for a really delicious appetizer, follow the recipe provided by Marta Tovaglieri, blogger from Una Streghetta in Cucina! They can be made with radicchio or your favourite vegetable in season.
This is how they're made:
Preheat oven to about 170°C.
Put the Fresco Spalmabile, grated cheese, egg and cream in an immersion blender cup and blend for about 30-40 seconds.
Add freshly ground pepper and salt to taste.
Place the mixture in 4 small silicone moulds (note: the flan with rise a bit while cooking). Bake in a water bath for about an hour.
In the meantime, wash the radicchio and cut it into strips, then cook in a non-stick pan with oil for about 12-15 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
Take the moulds out of the oven and let cool.
Serve the flan with the radicchio and enjoy!
